We are looking for an experienced Executive Director to work in Avon, Ohio at the St. Mary of the Woods campus. This campus is a senior living community that offers a variety of housing options and levels of care, including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, short term rehabilitation and respite care.

St. Mary of the Wood's community is seeking a passionate, dynamic individual to manage the day-to-day operations at one of Ohio's leading nonprofit senior housing and service providers. The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring exceptional quality and service, sustained resident satisfaction and employee engagement, operational efficiency, and strong financial results.

St. Mary of the Woods was built with a deep Catholic foundation, and it has an impeccable reputation for quality care in the marketplace. Built in 2005, it has 179 total units with 81 independent living apartments, 48 assisted living apartments and 50 rooms in skilled nursing and transitional care. It is a five-star facility licensed by Medicare and Medicaid, recognized as a 2024 Best Nursing Home by U.S. News and World Report and is open to people of any faith tradition.

Responsibilities:

The Executive Director provides leadership and direction over the planning and operations of the Saint Mary of the Woods facility that includes operating plans and related operating and capital budgets, development and implementation of standardized policies and procedures, property management, resident relations, marketing, community outreach, etc. This role will also function as an acting Nursing Home Administrator for the campus directing and coordinating services and programs, maintains policies and procedures that actively reinforce the mission, core values and corporate directives and directs strategic and financial planning for the community. This role ensures that programs and services are delivered in manners consistent with the strategic goals of St. Mary of the Woods Community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration or related field required, master's degree preferred.
  • Must be licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in Ohio.
  • 7-10 years of progressive senior living operations and leadership experience, including at least two years leading a full-continuum or CCRC campus.
  • Must possess knowledge of healthcare delivery, management, and gerontology.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement budgets as well as meeting or exceeding budget targets.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and implementing full resident community programs.

  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, families, and customers.
  • Promote and assure safe, quality client and resident care.
  • Lead, direct, and provide continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Passion for caring for older adults.
  • Identify and measure quality indicators translating to quantifiable outcomes.
  • Demonstrate successful business development and growth in services.
  • Strong financial acumen and fiscal/budget experience.
  • Strong MS Office proficiency.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
