Edencrest at Beaverdale is recruiting for an Executive Chef. In this role you will be responsible for leading the onsite culinary team and providing exceptional dining experiences for our senior living community. The ideal candidate will be creative, detail-oriented, and dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. This role is integral to fostering a warm, welcoming environment where residents can enjoy nutritious, delicious meals.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Executive Chef:

  • In alignment with the Regional Director of Culinary and overall culinary strategy, design and develop diverse, nutritious, and appealing menus tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of senior residents, including options for special diets (e.g., low sodium, diabetic, gluten-free).
  • Innovate seasonal and themed menus that enhance the dining experience.
  • Develop and manage the kitchen budget, including food costs, labor, and equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory and place orders for food, supplies, and equipment as needed.
  • Interact with residents to receive feedback and adjust menus to meet their evolving needs and preferences.
  • Organize and participate in culinary events and demonstrations to engage residents and enhance community life.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in the hospitality or senior living industry.
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent required. Additional certifications in nutrition or dietetics are a plus.
