Located in Woodbury, Minnesota, Smiles Plus Dental Care is a dental clinic that focuses on creating a great experience for our patients. We are looking for a Licensed Dental Assistant who is passionate about patient care to join our team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take dental x-rays
- Prepare and maintain patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following traits, knowledge, and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology, dental procedures, and dental anatomy
- Proficiency in using dental software
- Familiarity documentation practices
- Experience with medical imaging and taking dental x-rays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
