Working under the supervision of the Crew Leader, the Technician is responsible for completing all assigned project work as part of the team. This physically demanding field-based position requires critical thinking, teamwork, and an emphasis on safety.

Responsibilities
Working under the supervision of the Crew Leader, the Technician is responsible for completing all assigned project work as part of the team. This physically demanding field-based position requires critical thinking, teamwork, and an emphasis on safety.
- Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Frequent use of slope mowers, string trimmers, pruners, blowers, chainsaws, and other hand tools
- General use of mini-excavator, skid steer, and corresponding attachments
- Perform manual labor tasks with hand tools as needed
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Complete repairs and maintenance on ponds, lakes, and other stormwater control measures, including: Turf establishment, mowing, planting, invasive plant treatment or removal, hand or machine excavation, grading, erosion repairs, tree removal, and site stabilization
- Communicate effectively with supervisor to ensure successful job completion
- Monitor site activities of coworkers and lead by example to encourage maximum productivity and safe work practices
- Attend and participate safety meetings such as safe driving of company-owned vehicles trucks (with or without trailers) and other OSHA topics.
What you need
- Background and experience in lake/pond maintenance, landscaping, commercial mowing, erosion control, stormwater control measure maintenance, and repair
- Ability to lift 80 pounds on a routine basis
- Ability to regularly work on slopes, around water, and in variable weather conditions
- Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risks
- Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment
- Must have good communication skills and the ability to motivate others
- Must comply with Dragonfly's policies and procedures
