LOCATION: Commerce, California

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Specifications & Technical Data

• Incorporate knowledge of operations, QA, and internal systems (ERP, Sharepoint, QAD) to create and maintain finished product manufacturing specifications for all SFC facilities (Commerce, Villa Rica, Sun Valley, Mazatlan and Union City).

• Collaborate with project managers and operations to validate and ensure product data integrity

• Maintain and update the specification database

• Participate in product development meetings, plant trials, 1ˢᵗ production, and post-production reviews

• Create and maintain customer specifications

• Complete customer forms requiring technical product information and maintain customer web portals

• Respond to Customer Service inquiries related to product allergens, ingredients, GMO content, etc, provide Certificate of Free Sale & Letters of Guarantee

GDSN Setup & Maintenance

• -Responsible for setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of product data into Syndigo, PI system, GS1Canada, and other trading partner databases.

• Incorporates understanding of databases along with knowledge of our internal systems (ERP, Product Library, Sharepoint) to accurately publish product data without error.

• Knowledge of GS1 product and image standards, trading partner requirements, and system requirements.

• Works alongside other departments to gather information to resolve any data discrepancies, fulfill publishing requests, and continually improve marketing messages/dietary/nutritional claims inputs to Syndigo.

• Orders product to be shipped to third-party image providers and ensures that resulting shots comply with GS1 product and image standards, required naming convention, trading partner requirements, and system requirements.

• Review of scorecards from trading partners (i.e. Shamrock, Reinhart, BEK, etc.) and resolves issues for scores under 100%.

• Assist Specification and Master Data Manager on special projects

• Any other duties as required by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• High School Equivalency

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Regulatory/QA/R&D in the food industry

• Strong working knowledge of electronic/web-based technical databases.

• Strong ability to write clearly and concisely about technical subjects and concepts, including creating, maintaining, and improving existing material specifications.

• Must maintain positive and professional relationships with cross-functional team members, including but not limited to Sales, Marketing, QA, Operations, Customer Service and Supply Chain.

• Must be a self-starter, team player, and truly enjoy working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

• Must embody the Sugar Foods Mission Statement and Team Principles.

• Must possess intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
