Summary

A Nationally Accredited Center with top tier pay, full benefits, and low classroom ratios is seeking a qualified Toddler Teacher and offering a Sign-on Bonus! There are teaching openings in our Toddler classrooms for applicants who are responsive, caring, and warm. Our center believes in investing in our teachers through professional development and continuing education. We highly value low student-to-teacher ratios, and enroll our toddler classrooms at a maximum of 2:10. Qualifications include knowledge of toddler educational methods as well as the ability to engage with toddlers, develop relationships and create an engaging environment. The best candidate will be able to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of toddlers as they continue their educational journey. EOE

Duties

  • Supervision of toddlers by sight and sound at all times.
  • Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
  • Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensure all center policies and state regulations are followed.
  • Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene, cleanliness standards, and safety and security of children.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records, forms and files.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Developing and implementing daily schedules, lesson plans and individual curriculum
  • Housekeeping duties (replenishing of supplies: paper towels, soap, etc....)
  • Family style serving of meals
  • Maintain portfolio and anecdotal notes on each child in care utilizing Creative Curriculum
  • Maintain NAEYC portfolio with current artifacts
  • Lift 15-30 pounds


Requirements

  • Applicants must have an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
  • Higher education in Early Childhood Education is preferred and paid at a higher rate on our salary scale.
  • Provide a clear background check and pass health and drug screening.
