Senior Business Analyst
Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite in Dallas, TX!
Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a talented and dynamic team player to join the team as a Sr. Business Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting user stories, processes, working with development team, architects to come with solutions and performing user acceptance testing. The Sr. Business Analyst should have a natural analytical way of thinking, be curious, and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users and vice versa.
Experience of the right candidate:
- Bachelor's Degree required (Computer Science/Engineering/MIS/Finance Highly Preferred/MBA Preferred).
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience.
- 5+ years working in a Lead Business Analyst role/prior consulting experience is preferred.
- A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
- Extensive experience conducting discovery phase workshops.
- Extensive experience on Business Process Re-engineering, Business Process Management.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Must possess excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A track record of following through on commitments.
- Self-Starter, Creative and innovative.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skill.
- Team player and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Advanced technical skills.
- Working experience with Azure Dev Ops and Jira.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Building strong relationships with Business, Delivery Team based on trust/confidence.
- Planning and Conducting Discovery Phase workshops with all levels of the organization.
- Eliciting requirements, conducting requirements gathering sessions and documenting requirements in US format (JIRA).
- Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and coming up with solutions.
- Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Performing detailed requirements analysis by identifying all possible use cases and impacts.
- Documenting and communicating the requirements and results from analysis of requirements.
- Effectively communicating requirements, insights and analysis results to cross-functional team members and management.
- Building mock-ups/wire frames to illustrate and communicate the system interactions.
- Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful outputs.
- Working closely with SMEs, Business Users, Delivery Team (Development, QA and Delivery Manager), and managerial staff.
- Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Conducting cost/benefit analysis to evaluate the ROI.
- Facilitate focus sessions, showcase sessions and conduct User Acceptance Testing.
- Assist Business PMO team in building training material.
