Job Title: Senior IT Business Analyst Location: Lake Forest, IL – Onsite interview required Period: 11/18/2024 to 11/03/2025 (1 Year) Hours/Week: 40 hours – Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half Rate: $42 – $45/hr Contract Type: W2 only Scope of Services: The Senior IT Business Analyst will play a crucial role in creating, analyzing, and implementing electronic data interchange (EDI) systems and supporting processes for X12 and EDIFACT. The successful candidate will work closely with the EDI provider/vendor, coordinate EDI interface changes in the SAP system, and integrate with various platforms to drive and implement necessary changes. This position also includes supporting inventory management from an EDI perspective and overseeing existing EDI mapping configurations. Key Responsibilities: Primary Liaison: Act as the main contact between IT and business areas, directly supporting assigned business units. EDI Implementation: Hands-on implementation of EDI messages and interfaces with systems like SAP. Project Support: Assist in department-level initiatives and provide support to Program or Project Managers for larger projects. Business Analysis: Collaborate with clients to understand business needs, develop business cases, and solve technology-related challenges. System Coordination: Work with teams managing SAP, Bizlink, Tracelink, SGTIN, Tibco, and warehouse management systems. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, developing business requirements, and business cases. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Corporate and Divisional Policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of project milestones, requirements, and solutions. Key Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: 4-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role. Technical Skills: Experience with EDI messages like 850, 856, and SAP ERP systems. Strong knowledge of X12 and EDIFACT EDI standards. Hands-on experience with systems integration and data migration. Knowledge of tools such as Bizlink, Tracelink, and Tibco. Basic understanding of DevOps practices and object-oriented scripting. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on providing innovative solutions. Project Management: Proven ability to manage medium to high complexity projects independently, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in guiding EDI projects and implementing interfaces with third-party systems. Strong background in SAP ERP systems integration. Understanding of inventory management systems and EDI message configurations. Prior experience in a liaison role between IT and business units, leading projects, and driving strategic initiatives. Competencies: Leadership: Ability to guide the efforts of less experienced staff and monitor the work of business support teams. Collaboration: Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing project documentation, EDI mappings, and business processes. Adaptability: Ability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal management direction. This role is ideal for candidates with a blend of technical expertise in EDI systems and SAP ERP, along with strong business analysis and project management skills.
