Job Description
** This position will be worked on a hybrid/remote schedule (3 days per week ON-SITE in Glen Rock, NJ) **
AAC is seeking an Sr. Business Analyst for a rapidly growing client in Glen Rock, NJ, who can thrive in a scaling organization and can lead and drive business analysis. The successful candidate will be a confident people person who can become an immediate asset and adopt a hands-on approach to their role. The Business Analyst will be supporting several programs for our client dealing with all aspects of the IT group.
This position is slated to be a long-term, ongoing contract with potential of full-time conversion. This opportunity will work a hybrid remote schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Business Analyst, you’ll analyze IT requirements in business processes, through requirements elicitation, solutions identification, risk analysis, and collaboration across teams.
- The successful candidate will combine technical and functional skills to support the components of client’s IT department
- Communicates business needs to gain alignment and translate those needs into technical requirements that can be implemented by IT team
- Develop assessment framework, and conduct assessments to identify and document recommendations and findings
- Gathers high-level business requirements and defines scope during initial discovery by conducting meetings/interviews, and facilitating large group/cross-functional sessions with partners and stakeholders
- Maintains up-to-date awareness of the current and future directions of the industry and associated technologies, and, where appropriate, makes recommendations for implementation of new/upgraded systems and technologies
- Monitors, tracks, and manages financials for areas of responsibility for weekly reporting
- Apply broad management skills and specialized functional and technical expertise to guide project teams in delivering solutions or to manage the day-to-day operations of projects
Experience & Skills:
- 5-7 years as a Business Analyst in an enterprise-level environment
- Strong IT skills including advanced use of Excel, Microsoft Word, and Power Point
- Strong experience working with diagram programs such as Lucid or Visio
- Analytical Thinking: The ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach
- Fostering Innovation: The ability to develop, sponsor, or support the introduction of new and improved method, products, procedures, or technologies.
- Technical Expertise: The ability to demonstrate depth of knowledge and skill in accounting, financial management, business analysis
Preferred Technical Requirements:
- Experience in the retail or restaurant industry
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, or that of equivalence
