Business Analyst

Role Overview

As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of Phases 2 and 3 of our client's project. You will collaborate closely with project managers, IT teams, and key stakeholders to elicit, document, and manage business requirements. Your primary focus will be to ensure that the project delivers solutions that align with business objectives and address critical pain points.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirement Elicitation and Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth interviews, workshops, and other techniques to gather detailed business requirements.
  • Analyze complex business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and desired outcomes.
• Requirement Documentation:
  • Develop clear, concise, and well-structured business requirements documents (BRDs).
  • Create detailed process flows, use case diagrams, and other visual aids to communicate requirements effectively.
  • Ensure that requirements are traceable, testable, and aligned with project objectives.
• Requirement Management:
  • Maintain the requirements traceability matrix and manage changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the project team to prioritize requirements and resolve conflicts.
  • Validate and verify requirements to ensure they meet business needs.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on requirements gathering and documentation.
• Proven experience working on SAP projects is a significant advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Experience with business process modeling tools like Visio is preferred.

• Extensive Travel: Approximately 75% travel is required, typically Monday through Friday. Travel destinations may include Vicksburg, MS, Newell, WV, Roanoke, VA, Hattiesburg, MS, Severn, NC, and Nashville, TN, with the primary location being Flowood, MS.
• Approx. 25% travel if located in Jackson, MS
• Teams will consist of a Business Lead, Business Owner, a few core business SMEs, a Technical Lead, and a PM/BA.
• This is more of a functional BA but the client prefers someone who has written requirements for ERP/SAP projects before.
• This position does not do any testing, test coordinating, case plans, or have any special tool/technology requirements.
• Hourly pay rate.
• Candidates outside of Jackson, MS who can routinely get to Jackson w/o difficulty are encouraged to apply.
