Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerLocation: Sparks MDJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in government contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing processes, with a preference for expertise in SolidWorks and knowledge of battery or fuel cell technologies. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to meet our clients' needs while ensuring compliance with government regulations and standards.Key Responsibilities:Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing processes.Utilize SolidWorks for designing, testing, and validating manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures.Lead the implementation of new technologies and manufacturing methods, with a focus on battery and fuel cell production.Ensure compliance with government regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all manufacturing activities.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address manufacturing issues and improve process reliability.Develop and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions.Train and mentor production staff on best practices and new manufacturing techniques.Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components that meet quality and cost requirements.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on batteries or Fuel Cells.Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.Experience with battery or fuel cell technologies is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Familiarity with government regulations and standards related to manufacturing.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with automated manufacturing processes and robotics.Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.$80,000 - $115,000 a year
