The Manufacturing Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Manager, will have the opportunity to play a role in every phase of the manufacturing process, from quote to final production. You will work to optimize repeat and one-off manufacturing processes based on customer needs & internal capabilities.

Client Details

My client is an industry leading contract power tool manufacturer selling directly to major retail stores and Amazon. They are growing a ton recently, and are investing a ton of resources into upgrading the capabilities of the production site. To facilitate the exciting growth happening at the national and international sites, my client seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team.

Description

  • Assist in a production changeover from China to either Thailand or Vietnam
  • Sourcing materials or machinery
  • Based on customer prints, optimize manufacturing processes/workflow to ensure most efficient production
  • Work across different teams including quality control & design
  • Assist in quoting activities based on customer requests
  • Spearhead projects centered around LEAN/CI initiatives to reduce production costs & material waste
  • Design & implement fixtures & jigs to implement into production
  • Troubleshoot production issues as needed
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for process improvement

Profile

  • 4+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, injection molding background strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing/Continuous Improvement principles
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with focus on time management & budget constraints
  • Familiarity with quality management systems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Job Offer

  • Base salary $75,000 - $90,000 depending on level of experience
  • Discretionary bonus based on company performance (usually around $10,000)
  • 4 weeks PTO
