Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer in our Menomenee Falls, WI facility. The position is eligible for a hybrid work setup (3 days in office and 2 days remote). The position does offer relocation assistance within the US/PR. The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do: PRIMARY FUNCTION: We are seeking an innovative problem-solver to lead mechanical and electrical testing development for the Industrial Control Division. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic global team to design and improve test equipment and capabilities. You will lead tester development activities for new product introduction projects and experience the excitement of bringing new products to life from design concept through to production launch. The Manufacturing Test Engineer is a specialized professional with electrical, automation and programming skills to lead tester development and validation for new product launches and other division led product testing related projects. The role is responsible for writing test specifications, for the execution of complex assembly test and diagnostics for new equipment purchased for new products, and for providing trouble-shooting support for ICD test equipment. The Test Engineer will collaborate with other functions and suppliers to assure test equipment meets engineering requirements and can be delivered on-time while meeting safety, quality, and cost expectations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Design and industrialize test and automation processes, equipment, and fixtures for NPD. • Drive optimization of new and existing testing processes and procedures. • Develop tester specifications and test procedures; collaborate with suppliers on test equipment design and construction. • Set-up and validate new test equipment and drive tester readiness for production. • Assure test equipment meets expected performance; support troubleshooting and tester-related yield issues. • Create and deploy testing related Standard Work and training. • Develop and mentor plant Test Engineering leads. Identify resource and equipment gaps. • Lead business case development for new test equipment and improvement projects. • Manage capital expenditures and forecasts for NPD test equipment. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, building, or operating production test equipment or software testing. • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. • Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification. • Experience in new product development and industrialization. • Experience working in or with Plant Operations. • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, quality management processes, and project management. • Experience with industrial control components, motor controls and circuit protections. • Experience with statistical quality tools, such as, capability studies and gage R&Rs. Skills: • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines. • Experience in PLC or PC based software environments for machine control, developing software solutions (PLC, NI LabVIEW, TestStand, and test scripts) • Electrical and Mechanical safety knowledge. • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals. • Ability to lead teams.
