This role will be located at our Loveland, Ohio facility.This Principal AM Engineer is a dynamic position whose function is to work with a cross functional team to develop metal 3D printing processes for Binderjet printing process. With this the expectation of expert knowledge of software and industrial controls, Material and process for binder and powder development, Piezo printhead control and waveform development, fluid dynamics, pumps, and filtration process, Flowability, spreading/wetting physics of powder, drying and thermal relationship in the debind and sinter process. Additionally, be a key contributor and contact for our University and National Labs support for the organization. Come Join Us! The Principal AM responsibilities include the following: Serve as Metal Binderjet technical expert for the company Develop Binderjet material specific recipes for whole value stream of process. Create and manage all technical documentation for full value streamDevelop technical production readiness for Binderjet TechnologyLead external research and development programs contributing to improved machines and process for aerospace focused applications in binderjet technology Main Qualifications: Master's degree in Physics, Metallurgy or Materials Engineering 5-8 Years of hands-on full system or subsystem development Deep hands-on experience with characterizing machines, materials, and process Ability to translate theory to requirements and executional examples in a rapid innovation cycle. Preferred Qualifications: PHD in Physics, Metallurgy or Materials Engineering 8-10 Years of systems in industry or research labs Deep hands-on experience with characterizing machines, materials, and process Ability to translate theory to requirements and executional examples in a rapid innovation cycle. 3-5 years of Project management expertiseWorking knowledge of other AM modalities: LPBF, EBM, DED. Working knowledge of Investment Casting Process Interpersonal Skills: Roll up sleeve attitude Methodical and systematic approach Teamwork centric Strong Oral and Writing Communication skills Interest in Lab work and Lab environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity Passion for Additive Manufacturing If this sounds like you, please submit an application with your resume.
