PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION:

This position supports production objectives by performing manual labor within the warehouse. Operates forklift, power equipment, pallet jack, overhead crane, telephone, PC, copier, printer.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The employee will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the supervisor. Job duties may change as required by needs of company.

1. Verify identity and quantity of items received against purchase order to ensure proper receipt.

2. Assist in item count of incoming parts, materials, and supplies to detect shortages, damaged items, broken packages, and obvious defects.

3. Report inaccuracies and follow-up to locate information for incomplete orders. Pictures are taken and paperwork signed to show issues.

4. Plan transfer of product to shipping dock and load and unload product onto trucks.

5. Pull parts for the Kanban Runner and Segments in a timely manner, accuracy is a high priority.

6. Do transfers within SAP to move material from the Main Warehouse to Production.

7. Inventory audits as needed.

8. Support 6S assignments on a daily basis.

9. Operate Overhead Crane, Reach Forklift, Stand-Up Counterbalance Forklift, Electric Pallet Truck to load, unload, move or store materials.

10. Perform Kanban Runner duties when required.

11. Stock materials safely in designated staging and storage areas; perform cycle counts and assist with inventory.

12. Pick and Pack Seg-9 customer orders for shipment.

13. Process Goods Receipt of goods from small package as well as trucks and containers in SAP.

14. Receive incoming material using SAP.

15. Transfer stock using manufacturing software system.

16. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  1. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Possess at least three months of similar or related experience.
  2. Possess basic mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  3. Possess the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
  4. Possess the ability to operate overhead crane.
  5. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving limited concrete variables in standardized situations.
  6. Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, bar graphs, and procedure manuals.
  7. Possess basic communication skills using common courtesy.
  8. Possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

This position receives frequent supervision and instructions from Supervisor. Incumbent’s work is reviewed daily by supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

INTERACTION WITH OTHERS:

This position interacts frequently with Supervisor, and occasionally with other production personnel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB:

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, feel, or handle; employee must regularly reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to seventy pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and/or vibration. The noise level in this environment is usually loud.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

This position works indoors in a manufacturing (warehouse) environment. Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold. This position is occasionally exposed oil, grease or dirt, and to the risk of electrical shock. A loud noise level is typical for the work environment of this job.
