ProLogistix is hiring: Material Handler in Leesport

We are honored to have been selected by a family-owned, food manufacturing facility to support their search for a Material Handler!  Qualified candidates for this position will perform various warehouse activities to ensure the fulfillment and efficient operation of the warehouse such as sorting, consolidating, picking, locating, receiving, and shipping. Job Title: Material Handler
Job Type: Full-time/Direct Hire
Shift: Evening Shift 1PM – 9:30PM with flexibility 
Pay: $17-19/hr

Essential Job Functions

• Sort, palletize, shrink wrap, put away, pick, load and unload trucks.
• Verify quantities and receive inventory from other stock warehouses and/or vendors.
• Mark pallets with Pallet ID and product sku number.
• Stock finished product by locating in freezers by pallet location.
• Read order pick print and efficiently pull orders.
• Inspect for damaged cases, if present place in designated area and report on damaged sheet.
• Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.
• Report any potential Food Safety issues to management immediately.
• Report any animal welfare related issues to management immediately.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year Finished Goods Warehouse experience required, Cold Storage preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of how to operate an electric pallet jack, stand up forklift, and handheld scan device.
• Knowledge of inventory control and tracking.
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload, with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to independently make decisions and self-motivated.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
