Job Description
The Kitter/Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the orderly production and distribution of products while maintaining a safe and orderly working space for the warehouse team and staying in communication with colleagues. They will need to work well as part of a team and have a strong work ethic, including an understanding of and desire to meet established deadlines, expediting tasks where necessary.
Location: This position will be on site at the HIS Innovations Group corporate headquarters in Hillsboro, Oregon—just 10 minutes west of Downtown Portland.

Responsibilities:
- Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.
- Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
- Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Ensures material is being moved to the next operation in line within SLA.
- Lifts and unloads heavy pallets, both by hand and by machine, and safely relocate them elsewhere in the warehouse or prepare them for transport.
- Answers emails from internal customers and responds in a timely manner.
- Lifts and maneuvers heavy and/or odd shaped material.
- Escalates part shorts and missing material in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned by superiors.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good math and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Efficient time management skills.
- Able to operate manual pallet jacks.
- ERP / WMS experience.
- Experience using WMS systems and handheld warehouse scanners.
- Consistently lift as much as 50 pounds of material with reasonable accommodations.
