What we are looking for:
M-B is currently hiring a Warehouse Associate to be based out of our office in Corpus Christi, TX. This position will be responsible for warehouse maintenance and the handling of materials.
This site is not accessible via public transportation; reliable transportation will be a requirement
How you'll make an impact at M-B as a Warehouse Associate:
- Assist with field labor readiness
- Receiving, handling, stocking, and organizing materials
- Equipment and warehouse upkeep, maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization and safety of work environment.
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Accepting delivery of inventory.
- Local delivery and pickup of material as needed for projects.
- Counting, confirming, and documenting inventory.
- Inspecting inventory for damage.
- Communicating errors to relevant parties.
- Marking and labeling stock.
- Storing inventory in accessible manner.
- Completes all necessary paperwork.
- Miscellaneous tasks assigned by Construction Manager
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed: may be required to help in the field as needed.
What it takes to be successful as a Warehouse Associate
- Proven work experience in a warehouse environment is a plus, but not required
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus, but on the job training and forklift certification can be provided.
- Ability to work in both an indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and all types of weather and temperature conditions
- Ability to frequently and repeatedly lift from ground to various heights up to 50 pounds individually, and team lifting heavier items.
- Ability to frequently and repeatedly exert force of up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to frequently walk on uneven and/or unpaved terrain
- Ability to frequenting climb steps, ladders and in/out/onto vehicles
- Ability to frequently and repeated bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, reach and crouch
- Visual acuity to drive motor vehicles and mobile equipment and to read printed and electronic documents.
- Hearing capacity to receive, perceive and react to common driving and construction environment noises.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in high pressure situations, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Self-starter with independent work ethics.
- Adhere to strict safety standards and procedures.
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- Applicant will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record Check. Satisfactory driving records are required for driving company or personal vehicles and motor driven equipment to conduct company business.
- Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Safety impact employees will be subject to additional drug and alcohol testing throughout his/her employment.
- As part of its employment process, M-B may procure or have prepared a criminal background check. An applicant with an unsatisfactory criminal background check report is ineligible to be hired for the position for which the report is initiated.
