This position reports to the Director of Finance, who manages the financial operations of both colleges. The successful candidate will be able to work independently under minimal supervision but also as part of a team. Applicants should be highly organized, detail-focused, and adept at managing timelines and processes to ensure the successful completion of a diverse range of administrative and financial tasks. Responsibilities Coordinate hiring and onboarding of student employees, including creating letters of agreement, completing I-9 Employment Eligibility, and submitting ePafs Process various financial transactions such as reimbursements, departmental deposits, additional compensation, etc. Coordinate and track expenditures for complex travel arrangements by utilizing university travel resources such as Concur and the Travel Card (T Card) Provide support as the reallocator for purchasing cards (P Card) Use independent judgement to handle and resolve customer service needs and address confidential situations in a professional manner Provide backup support as the payroll reporter Collect data, maintain records, and assist in preparing various reports Recommend and implement improvements that affect accounting systems and departmental operations across both colleges Other duties as assigned This job description is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Four years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of hiring department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Completion of provided supervisory training within one year of employment may be required. Master’s degree in a related area may be preferred.
