Our client is a distinguished AS9100 certified company with over 65 years of success in the manufacturing industry. They are a team that is dedicated to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. They seek a talented Welding Manager to lead our dynamic team and continue our tradition of excellence.

As the Welding Manager you will be the forefront of managing and optimizing the welding operations.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and inspire a team of two weld shop supervisors and approximately 40 welders, fitters, and utility workers.
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge procedures and workflows to enhance our welding processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure production goals are met and continuously improve our operations.
  • Uphold the highest standards of metal fabrication, including MIG and TIG welding, while working with aluminum and steel to meet AWS specifications.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing management, with a proven track record of managing both direct and indirect reports.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of comprehensive manufacturing experience.
  • Skills: Deep expertise in metal fabrication, including MIG and TIG welding, advanced fitting experience, and proficiency with aluminum and steel welding per AWS specifications D1.1, D1.2, D15.1, and D17.1.
  • Technical Abilities: Strong computer skills and the ability to read blueprints with precision.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with individuals at all organizational levels.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
