Assist banquet staff with serving, tending bars, clearing tables, running food, refilling water, and restocking clean plates, silverware, and glassware and condiments. - Set up assigned station according to the banquet team standards when opening and at start of shifts.
- Completion of assigned pre-shift side work.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.
- Prompt, proper, and professional delivery of food and drink items.
- Proper and professional interaction with guests while delivering food.
- Knowledgeable and enthusiastic merchandising of all food items, bar and beverage items, and retail items.
- Ability to completely answer food and drink related questions from guests.
- Knowledgeable about menus, event details and specials.
- Coordination and proper timing of steps of service and service basics.
- Ensuring that guests have everything they need during the event and delivering exceptional service.
- Additional duties or special projects related to the overall operation of the restaurant as requested by management. A sense of urgency and follow-through is demonstrated in a timely manner regarding any assignment, task or special project assigned by management.
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by The Company from time to time, is essential to the successful performance in this position.
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently to interact with customers, the public and employees.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- RBS and Food Handlers Certified.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
- Interpersonal skills to provide overall customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of proper food handling requirements.
- Ability to take and understand directions.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by business demands.
- Perform additional duties as requested from management.
