This role is responsible for coordinating crane operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, managing crane operators, and liaising with various departments to ensure smooth logistics and terminal operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in crane operations, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence. Crane Supervisor Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all crane operations, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections of cranes, rigging equipment, and surrounding areas to identify and address potential hazards. Manage, train, and mentor crane operators and riggers, ensuring they are fully competent and certified to perform their duties. Develop and implement lifting plans and risk assessments for all crane activities, including complex and non-routine lifts. Liaise with operations, logistics, and maintenance teams to schedule crane activities, minimize downtime, and optimize operational flow. Monitor crane performance, maintenance needs, and compliance with regulatory standards, coordinating with maintenance teams for repairs and inspections. Ensure all lifting operations comply with OSHA, ANSI, and other relevant industry safety standards. Maintain accurate records of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities. Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies, leading investigations and implementing corrective actions. Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the crane operations team. Crane Supervisor Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent;completion of vocational or technical training in crane operations or supervision preferred. Proven experience as a crane operator (minimum 10 years) with knowledge of crane safety regulations and best practices. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is desirable. Expertise in operating various crane types (overhead, mobile, gantry). Certification from a recognized crane operator training program or crane supervisor certification preferred. Familiarity with crane safety management systems (CSMS) or crane safety audits. Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development in crane maintenance and repair. Experience in industrial or construction settings with extensive crane use. Knowledge of rigging techniques, load calculations, and lift planning. Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking crane maintenance. Safety certification credentials (OSHA) are a plus. LI-Onsite
