Job description Position Summary This position is empowered by the Community Manager to deliver the highest quality customer service and provide an unmatched level of personal attention to residents. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the maintenance team to successfully meet the service needs of our residents and is instrumental in maintaining the facility operations at their community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: â— Provide oversight and support to the maintenance team â— Utilize your troubleshooting skills to respond to a wide variety of residential service requests in a timely and professional manner â— Prepare apartment homes for rent by performing various repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, building exteriors, and appliances â— Coordinate repairs with the maintenance team to ensure that all maintenance issues and concerns are resolved properly â— Monitor project activities to ensure instructions are followed, deadlines are met and schedules are maintained â— Inspect completed maintenance work as necessary â— Provide the maintenance team with assistance and training as necessary â— Ensure operating procedures and work standards are followed to ensure safety â— Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) â— Required education: High school degree or equivalent â— Required certification: EPA certification level I or II â— Required: Active driver's license â— Experience repairing plumbing, carpentry, dry wall, HVAC and appliances â— Dedication to exceeding the needs of all customers with an ability to build and maintain relationships â— Demonstrate thoroughness, accuracy, and organization when accomplishing tasks â— Ability to work on-call hours â— Effective at prioritizing multiple demands and meeting deadlines â— Proactive team player; reliable and responsive â— A natural problem solver; decisive and can work independently Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
