Salary: $60K - $75K - D.O.E.

Position Summary: The Manager / Supervisor at Water Heater Warehouse is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective management of inventory, and leading a team of technicians and warehouse staff. The role involves maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and customer service while promoting a positive work environment. The Manager / Supervisor will work closely with the management team to optimize technical staff and warehouse operations and drive business growth.

Responsibilities:


  1. Warehouse Operations Management:
  • Oversee the overall functioning of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate with procurement to ensure stock availability.
  • Optimize space utilization and implement inventory management systems to track and control inventory movements accurately.


  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate a team of technical and warehouse employees, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to technical and warehouse staff, ensuring appropriate coverage for all operational activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and provide opportunities for skill development.
  • Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns in a timely and effective manner.


  1. Customer Service:
  • Ensure orders are accurately processed, packed, and shipped to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to address inquiries, complaints, and resolve any order-related issues promptly.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, seeking opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Continuously monitor and improve order fulfillment processes to reduce lead times and enhance efficiency.


  1. Health and Safety:
  • Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective measures.
  • Provide training on safe work practices and equipment operation to warehouse personnel.
  • Investigate and report any workplace incidents or accidents, taking appropriate actions to prevent future occurrences.


  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline warehouse operations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track operational performance.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for business growth.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies, recommending and implementing relevant advancements.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in technical or warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate employees.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management software and MS Office applications.
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred but not a must.
