Cenveo Manufacturing is hiring: Production Supervisor 2nd Shift in Chicago

Information about the Company: Cenveo, a world leader in the management and distribution of print and related offerings, we are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for its Chicago, IL envelope manufacturing facility for 2nd shift (2pm - 10pm).

2nd shift Production Supervisor Responsibilities & Daily Duties: Leads the staff of production employees to ensure a constant flow of production. Personnel involved include operators, quality control, highly skilled technicians and other production/warehouse Workers. The position will include some Saturdays especially during busy season and other over-time as production needs dictate. This is an exempt level position.

The position will have approximately 45+ direct reports (non-exempt employees).

2nd shift Production Supervisor Requirements & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a supervisory/ leadership role in a production environment.
• Associate degree preferred, not required. Will consider experience in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated mechanical / leadership ability required in manufacturing environment.
• Union experience preferred, not required.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to problem solve independently and implement solutions.
• Flexibility based on the needs of the business.
• Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
• Preferred familiarization with utilizing color vision for print/inspection purposes.
• Flexo Graphic Printing experience is a plus.
• Strong safety and quality background.
• Solid communication skills - written, verbal, presentation, active listening.

2nd shift Production Supervisor Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Frequent periods of sitting, standing, walking, bend, stoop, kneel and twist.
• Occasionally lift, push, pull, carry minimal weights if needed with/without assistance.
• Grasp objects utilizing manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination and the utilization of color vision.
• Exposure to noise; must wear hearing protection and safety shoes.
