Job Description
Job purpose of Shift Supervisor in the restaurant operations and service; ensure that orders are accurately prepared and delivered timely according to company standards. Assist with ordering supplies; ensure that guest checks are handled accurately, efficiently and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure That Restaurant is Fully Set Up for Business
- Cash tray has been initialized/ finalized for the day
- Storefront is clean and looks presentable/ready for service
- Music turned on at appropriate level throughout shift depending on noise level
- Ensure Servers Side work list is posted & stations are fully stocked with proper supplies (POS, Togo, expo window, host stand, any promos.
- Effective Communication with Team
-Daily specials (soups, drink, food, etc.) have been communicated to team and written on specials board
-Successfully implements cashier cuts in a timely fashion to ensure restaurant is maximizing labor dollars in conjunction with business demand
-Ensure all food coming out of kitchen is to standards, adequate portioning and presentation while communicating to BOH team when food needs extra attention
- Recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase service quality and enhance job safety
--Consistently creates a teamwork atmosphere with hands on leadership and responsibility throughout shift
-Aware, monitors and reacts to business fluctuation in that service is smooth and seamless
-Can handle conflicts between employees if they arise and come to a positive solution for the team to efficiently run the business.
-Can perform all discounts, comps and voids MUST be done according to company policy
-Can perform proper cash handling procedures are followed according to company policy
