Job Description
This is a PART-TIME position, 18 hours to start.
Do you have a degree in Health & Human Performance, Exercise Science or similar/equivalent? Likewise, do you have experience as an athletic trainer, strength & conditioning coach or personal trainer? Are you comfortable administering hands-on therapies like cupping and PNF Stretching? If so, we would love to talk with you.
Littleton Massage and Sports Recovery helps individuals of all ages achieve full functional restoration and optimal mobility through a vast range of modalities that are customized for each client. We address functional issues from stressed joints and muscles to post-surgical restoration. Our skilled massaged therapists and sports recovery specialists are trained to identify the source of pain or discomfort and lead clients on the path to full mobility.
Responsibilities and Duties
Sports Recovery Specialist (SRS) candidate will perform all duties within the sports recovery room which includes:
· IASTM (Rockblades Mohawk equipment & training provided); Candidates with existing certifications preferred; Training available
· Cupping (RockPods and training provided); Candidates with existing certifications preferred; Training available
· Connecting clients to E-stim and Compression Sleeves
· Myofascial release and PNF stretching
· Theragun vibration therapy
· Rock taping (kinesiology tape); Candidates with existing certifications preferred
· Creating care plan for clients as needed
Additionally, SRS will be required to do outreach in the local community and attend events monthly to build community relationships and introduce sports recovery to a variety of active individuals.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidate must have strong communication skills. Would prefer a background in athletic training, personal training, strength & conditioning, corrective exercise or similar, with certification such as ATC or CSCS. Must have knowledge of anatomy. Preferred degrees: Exercise Science, Health and Human Performance and similar. Candidates with taping/cupping/scraping certifications will be more strongly considered, as well as candidates who have experience working/partnering with chiropractors, gyms and school coaches & ADs.
Flat rate commission pay structure is commensurate with experience; Potential to earn $45-$55 per hour on average (flat rate PLUS commission (Ex. $25 hourly +$20 tip = $45.00). The average 60-minute session is $99, which makes 20% gratuity $20. This is a standard checkout, but can vary from client to client. Merit increases available at 6 months.
