McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking an Entry Level Drafter to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kick-start their career in drafting and design.  This position supports the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), the United States Navy's full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support center for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, and offensive and defensive weapons systems associated with undersea warfare.

Job Overview
- Assist in creating detailed drawings using CAD software
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements
- Review and modify designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications
- Participate in project meetings to provide drafting support
- Learn and apply industry-standard drafting techniques

Experience
- Knowledge or experience in mechanical design is a plus
- Familiarity with drafting software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit is advantageous
- Ability to learn new software applications quickly
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
