Network and Systems Administrator

As the Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration and operation of our network systems, server infrastructure, cloud environments, and end-user devices. This role is essential for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of the entire IT infrastructure, mitigating risks, and enhancing efficiency for all company employees through technology.

What you will be doing:
Network Administration Maintain and deploy all switching, routing, firewalls, access points, and other network hardware or software to ensure top-tier network stability and access across all locations of the company Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise Configure and monitor SD-WAN and VPN connectivity for all sites and users Ensure the security of the company network and devices through vulnerability and penetration management Maintain accurate network documentation Systems Administration
Manage and administer Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems Maintain and administer servers in a virtualized environment (VMware, Cloud) Monitor systems performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high level of availability Manage backup infrastructure and disaster recovery planning/testing to ensure high levels of data redundancy and quick recovery times Keep servers and endpoints updated with current firmware and patches to enhance security posture Configure and manage EDR/MDR solutions to protect company endpoints from threat actors Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, and Google Suite environments Manage and track inventory of all IT devices to ensure proper refresh cycles and reliability Maintain detailed documentation of all systems configurations, servers, and procedures Helpdesk Administration
Oversee and manage the Helpdesk team to provide excellent and quick end-user support Assist Helpdesk team with escalated issues or with heavy workloads as needed Provide excellent end-user support and training to improve user proficiency with IT systems Maintain ticketing software and track service requests and projects Plan and execute the selection, purchase, installation, configuration, and testing of new equipment (workstations, tablets, handheld scanners, label printers, etc.) Support in-house development team with troubleshooting and providing end-user assistance with proprietary Company software What you need:
4-year degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years of network/systems management experience High level of knowledge of network routing and switching, SD-WAN, and firewall management Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools High level of knowledge of a virtualized server environment using VMWare Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to implement solutions quickly Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Extremely organized, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work closely with other departments and production entities Ability to hold and manage confidential information Must be thorough with a strong sense of attention to detail and the ability to follow through Desire to learn, seek new challenges and to take on additional responsibilities Self-motivated, driven individual with collaborative communication style Friendly, engaging, and professional demeanor Highly Desired:
Experience migrating systems and network infrastructure to a cloud or hybrid-cloud solution Experience with a wide range of devices and endpoints in a highly customized environment Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network/Server+, CCNA, etc.) Database management skills to optimize server performance of proprietary software Advanced security knowledge and skills to harden and protect network and server infrastructure What we offer:
