AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: We are currently seeking an Experienced Machine Learning/AI Engineer to join our expanding team at AMD, Inc. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by developing, implementing, and improving AI and machine learning solutions across our technology and product offerings. Your expertise in AI and machine learning, as well as your passion for innovation, will play a key role in AMD's continued growth and success. THE PERSON: The position requires a self-motivated AI engineer with a strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and techniques. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement machine learning and artificial intelligence models, algorithms, and systems tailored to specific project goals and requirements. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, researchers, hardware engineers, and software developers to deliver comprehensive AI solutions. Continuously explore, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge techniques and methodologies to enhance product performance and develop new features. Optimize machine learning models to ensure efficient deployment on AMD hardware and software platforms. Monitor the performance of deployed models, maintain, and update as necessary, and troubleshoot any related issues. Stay current on the latest advancements in the field of AI and machine learning, sharing knowledge and insights within the organization to foster a culture of innovation. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Professional experience in AI/ML engineering, with a proven track record of successful projects. Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and techniques, including deep learning, supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and probabilistic graphical models. Hands-on experience with popular ML frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and Scikit-learn. Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java. Familiarity with AMD's hardware (GPU, CPU, and APU) and software (ROCm, OpenCL, HIP) platforms is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to a diverse audience. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) preferred. LOCATION: Boxborough, MA LI-MF2 LI-HYBRID At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
