Software Developer Job no: 493818 Work type: Administrative (Full Time) Location: Marion, IN Categories: Information Technology Job Title: Software Developer Reporting Relationship: Director of Enterprise Applications and Software Development in the Information Technology Department Unit: Central Administration Department: Software Development-Central Administration Campus Location: Maxwell Center Summary of Position: This position is part of a team with a diverse skill set, responsible for improving, researching, analyzing, troubleshooting, and consulting on IT-supported software systems, as well as integrating and developing new and existing software, databases, and reporting solutions in web and/or desktop contexts. Some key languages used are C#, UniBasic, T-SQL, HTML/XML/XSLT, CSS, and Javascript (with emphasis on jQuery and KnockoutJS). Individuals are encouraged to specialize (usually in our ERP or our web apps). Duties and Responsibilities Troubleshoot, analyze, and develop: Enterprise software and databases Reports and utilities Interfaces with third party software and systems Facilitate communication with clients and coworkers Author and maintain documentation Complete assignments according to predefined requirements Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement. Education Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred Experience Two (2) years of experience with software development and one year of experience in general database programming Required Skills Microsoft/Apple operating systems, Microsoft Office products, and a specialization in Ellucian Administrative software, report-writing tools or ASP.NET (Web Form and MVC), and/or Git version control system Diversity Statement IWU commits to create a community that reflects kingdom diversity.
