About the role: This role is focused on the development and execution of the strategic business and tactical plans for the venous thromboembolism (VTE) market, focused on treating PE, DVT and arterial thrombus. This Sr. Product Manager will provide strategic recommendations and manage downstream initiatives and tactics to advance the growth and profitability of the EKOS business and the overall venous franchise, while leading a launch within our portfolio. Dedicated to advancing the treatment of VTE, EKOS is a catheter-based device that uses ultrasonic energy, along with a drug, to dissolve thrombus quickly and safely. With over $100M in revenue worldwide, it is the second largest product within Peripheral Interventions and is the most commonly used device for the treatment of Pulmonary Embolism (PE).
Your responsibilities include:
Lead, champion and drive the EKOS marketing strategies and new product commercialization in close partnership with Marketing Partners (global, strategy, upstream), Brand Activation (marketing communications), Clinical, Medical Education, Medical Affairs and other functional team members. Partner closely with Venous Field Marketing Managers in their efforts to establish PE Programs within our customers' hospitals and grow the reach of the Ekos brand. Collaborate with and support the US sales and commercial organization; spend time in the field understanding commercial dynamics, building sales and customer relationships, and gathering actionable insights to inform marketing strategies. Serve as a clinical expert and functional advisor to external and internal customers. Develop strong relationships with multiple US and Global KOLs. Closely monitor the competitive PE landscape and, in collaboration with competitive marketing manager, develop marketing strategies to maintain a clear, differentiated value proposition in the marketplace. Track performance against objectives and plans, formulating new approaches and strategies as needed, including contingency plans for critical tactical plans. Provide timely financial analysis and direction to the sales management team highlighting customer level opportunities and risks in our top accounts. Utilize marketing fundamentals: market understanding, market segmentation, product positioning, message development, channel identification, tool and communication creation and execution to further business objectives. Exhibit professional maturity and help to foster an open, challenging, and positive environment that enables colleagues to be their best.
Required qualifications:
5+ years of medical device or product launch experience required BA/BS required Healthcare or medical device marketing experience, with demonstrated ability to develop deep clinical and commercial expertise in medical device therapies and products. Demonstrated success managing complex projects, incorporating diverse needs from numerous stakeholders and delivering on commitments Track record of success leading cross functional teams within a dynamic, matrixed and hybrid work environment Proven ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse teams to achieve consensus and execution of strategic initiatives Ability to travel about 30%, mostly domestic with limited international travel.
