Overview: We are seeking a skilled Epic Integration Architect with a deep understanding Digital Health applications which include clinical intake, check-in, Pre-op, Post-op and discharge workflows to join our healthcare technology consulting team. In this role, you'll lead the design, development, and implementation of Epic integration solutions that streamline patient intake, reduce check-in times, and enhance the patient experience. You will play a pivotal role in aligning Epic's capabilities with our organization's Digital Health applications and clinical operations, ensuring smooth and effective integrations within complex healthcare systems. Key Responsibilities: Lead and architect the integration of Epic modules with Digital Health applications related to clinical intake, registration, and check-in processes across multiple platforms. Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to assess needs and optimize workflows. Design, develop, and implement HL7, FHIR, and API-based integrations between Epic and other Digital Health applications, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability. Conduct gap analysis and troubleshoot issues related to Epic integration within clinical workflows, working closely with IT and clinical stakeholders to drive timely resolutions. Maintain awareness of Epic updates, new functionalities, and best practices in clinical intake and check-in, advising on system enhancements and strategic improvements. Mentor and provide guidance to junior integration team members, promoting knowledge sharing and standardization across integration projects. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare IT, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Experience : Minimum of 8 years in healthcare IT, with at least 5 years of Epic integration experience specifically focused on Digital Health applications, clinical intake and check-in workflows. Certifications : Epic Integration Certification, preferably in modules like Prelude, Welcome, Cadence, or Ambulatory. Technical Skills : Proficiency in HL7, FHIR, RESTful APIs, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript). Demonstrated expertise in clinical workflow analysis, Epic configuration, and systems integration within hospital and clinical environments. Strong knowledge of data security and compliance standards (HIPAA, HITECH). Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
