Financial Analyst Job at Aston Carter in Newport News

The Financial Analyst and Associate Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for program finance, billing, budgeting, and pricing/estimating. Senior leadership will rely on the data you provide to manage the business. You will support a large local program for the Navy, which is around $120M a year, and a smaller group of programs in the $5M range. Responsibilities Provide timely analysis, financial modeling, and recommendations to support Navy programs in decision-making processes. Establish and maintain Corporate Financial Reports, Program Status Reports, and Key Performance Indicators. Ensure program financials are accurate, complete, and compliant with SOX and internal corporate controls. Analyze and investigate program issues, offering advice on appropriate actions. Assist with new business pricing and estimating activities. Deliver real-time program financial status updates to leadership and conduct ad-hoc financial analysis. Present financial data during monthly and quarterly reviews to both front-line and executive-level management. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills 3-5+ years of financial analysis experience with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create and use pivot tables and VLOOKUPs Experience with project controls and Oracle Strong financial analysis and forecasting skills Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with DoD PCA/FA Experience with Oracle ERP Experience with PFP software for forecasting Experience with EVM, EAC, and/or ETC Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field 0-2 years of financial analysis experience for Associate Financial Analyst position Basic understanding of Excel for Associate Financial Analyst position Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00 pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending pending Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Newport News,VA.
