Customer Service Optician needed
Would you love to solve problems to help people live better lives? Got a flair for style or a gift for making people look or feel their best? Our team needs a compassionate and dedicated professional to help our patients leave our office looking stylish in their perfect new pair of glasses. This is a full-time position offering the stability of a career in healthcare with weekends OFF!
NO Experience Needed:
Prior medical office or eyecare experience is a plus, but it’s certainly not required. We offer paid training to the right person with a great attitude, a helpful heart, and a love of learning; the PeakSight exceptional Standard of Care!
Some of your duties will include:
- Helping people pick out frames that suit them based on the shape of their face, bridge fit, lifestyle, and prescription.
- Determining the best lens types, materials, coatings, and brands for patients’ lifestyles. For example, a kid who plays basketball will need something different from someone who works on a computer all day.
- Educating first-timers on how to use and take care of their glasses and contact lenses, we also ensure all existing patients are given the same exemplary standard of care
- Troubleshooting prescription issues and miscellaneous repairs, checking new glasses for fit and making adjustments, even using our state-of-the-art lens edger to shape prescription lenses and then insert them into frames.
- Accurately documenting measurements for all lens styles and prescriptions, patient charting with attention to detail and supporting our team in a positive and professional manner
- Consistent training for optimal career growth (offered and expected)
- Billing insurance and keeping patients informed on what their insurance and/or saving plans cover
- Utilize computerized systems for placing and tracking orders
- Answer and respond to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Ensuring the optical space looks clean, neat and welcoming
- Doing inventory, ordering, sending and receiving shipments
You’ll be helping our patients choose the right glasses for them based on their personal style, lifestyle needs, prescription, and more. People walk in not being able to see, and you’re the one that sends them out looking great and SEEING great! This is not just a sales job, your role is to be an educator and a style consultant.
