Job Summary/Job Purpose:
The Medical Equipment Cleaner is responsible for the efficient cleaning of all appropriate HME products and performs basic diagnostic checks and assembly. Maintaining equipment appearance and verifying equipment is working properly is vital to this role.
Job Duties / Essential Functions:
- Performs daily cleaning and care of equipment utilizing established department work standards and follows proper cleaning guidelines, utilizing the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Accurately tracks each piece of equipment cleaned.
- Inspects, adjusts, and/or lubricates equipment according to specifications. Makes minor repairs, when needed.
- Monitors and reports abnormal wear and tear to equipment that may be caused by customer misuse or abuse.
- Follows established maintenance and cleaning schedule for each piece of equipment per specific equipment procedure requirements and per Manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Assists with unloading equipment that needs to be cleaned, placing it in the proper dirty staging area, ensuring not to travel through clean area with dirty equipment.
- All other duties assigned.
Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and specifications
- Basic Math proficiency
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
