Position Overview: The Accounting Intern will work alongside the accounting team to support various financial functions, including reporting, analysis, and audits. This internship provides an opportunity to gain real-world experience in corporate accounting, improve technical skills, and learn about the real estate industry. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to the financial operations of The Wolff Company. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Account Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and help reconcile balance sheet accounts to support month-end and quarter-end close processes. Data Entry and Analysis: Input, verify, and analyze financial data for reporting purposes and to assist in decision-making. Audit Support: Help gather and organize financial documents for internal and external audits, ensuring all data is accessible and accurate. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Assist with processing invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies. Ad Hoc Projects: Support the accounting team with various special projects, financial research, and operational improvements as needed. Requirements Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets. Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Prior internship or experience in accounting or finance is a plus. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) is helpful but not required. Why Join Us?
