Your Team & Role As an Infrastructure Developer in the End User Experience Engineering department, you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, software engineers and delivery professionals to improve the macOS platform experience. You will develop software and automated solutions to manage the lifecycle of endpoint services as we solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services, and experiences to delight our customers In addition to applied technical understanding and knowledge, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning. Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day Identify and resolve issues with macOS and related applications Ability to work effectively with other IT teams and internal business partners to identify, troubleshoot and resolve critical enterprise issues Evaluate, test, define, and deploy our corporate macOS Enterprise build for desktops and laptops Identify and remediate client and server-side security risks to the environment Create, code and support solutions to automate the creation, management, or destruction of infrastructure; with guidance, actively code against the roadmap Liaise with various technology personnel for problem resolution Provide easily consumable services to software development teams to assist in the consumption of infrastructure solutions and partner to implement them Accelerate application development by building patterns of infrastructure services that are consumed self-service, resilient, reliant and in accordance with Prudential standards Collaborate with product owners in understanding needs and defining feature stories, tech leads in defining technical design and other team members to understand the system end-to-end and deliver robust solutions that bring about business impact and support the goals Create and maintain clear and crisp documents for support purposes and end user communications Provide and review reports as needed for both end user and Management Bring an understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, begin to find opportunities to provide input to the team, and embed learning and innovation in the day-to-day Work on problems of diverse scope in which analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors Use programming languages including but not limited to Bash, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, and C# Patching and Application packaging as per organization requirements for mac devices The Skills & Expertise You Bring Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields Strong knowledge of MDM solutions such as Jamf Cloud and Microsoft Intune (Experience managing iOS & Android is a plus, not a must) Deep understanding of the macOS operating system as well as utilizing automation to manage and secure it Commitment to staying informed about emerging technologies, trends, and best practices for the Apple ecosystem Leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD) Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills Linux / UNIX Operating Systems: File Permissions, Network Configuration, Services, Process Manipulation Database Fundamentals: Schemas, Tables, Permissions, SQL Networking, TCP/IP and other common Communication Protocols: OSI Model, 3 Way Handshake, Stateful vs Stateless, Proxy Firewall Test/Quality capabilities & methodologies (functional & nonfunctional) and associated tooling including quality automation Knowledge/Understanding of the following: Management of modern workplace management tools (M365, Jamf, Intune) Application Programming Interfaces (API): Consumption & Development Infrastructure & Cloud Security practices including DevSecOps Dev Ops Tools & Practices: awareness, understanding of DevOps automation tools, practices & capabilities (continuous integration & continuous delivery) Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Development and Design Fundamentals including SDLC and coding standards Cloud Computing: Understanding and knowledge of AWS and Azure Disaster Recovery and High Availability Preferred Qualifications: Financial/Insurance industry experience is a plus, not a must Youll Love Working Here Because You Can Join a team and culture where your voice matters; where every day, your work transforms our experiences to make lives better.
