Data Reporting Analyst

An employer is seeking a Data Analyst for a remote contract opportunity. This individual will be supporting a leading global manufacturer in the flavor and fragrance industry. Joining a team of 3 other data experts in preparation for a large implementation in 2025. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyzing complex data sets to help drive strategic business decisions. Create, build, and optimize SQL statements in both Oracle and MS SQL. Writing complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, and packages in PL/SQL and T-SQL. Create & deliver ad-hoc reports using SSRS based off a business requirement. Take the data from both Oracle and MS SQL to create SSRS Reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions. Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
This role requires proficiency in both Oracle and MS SQL, as well as SSRS. This individual will have a demonstrated proficiency in writing complex queries in both PL/SQL and T-SQL and is able to create ad-hoc reports in a highly configured environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively. This is a remote role, 6-month contract with potential extensions up to 1 year.

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis or related field writing SQL statements in Oracle & MS SQL. Extensive experience with Oracle PL/SQL (writing queries, stored procedures, triggers, packages) Extensive experience using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) to create reports from both Oracle & MS SQL Extensive experience with MS SQL (T-SQL, writing queries, stored procedures, triggers, packages)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
ETL Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) Experience with SAP, have been a part of an SAP implementation Previous experience working for a global organization and/or highly configured environment
SOFT SKILLS: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently & as a part of a team Excellent communication, business acumen, professional demeanor The ability to learn & adapt in an ever-changing environment
