About the role

As an Account Executive, you will exemplify our company's core values of customer-centricity, ambition, and respect for colleagues and clients. Your role involves identifying and engaging new customers, articulating how One Legal can enhance their internal efficiency, closing deals, and ensuring their ongoing success.

You will be responsible for developing and managing a pipeline of opportunities, as well as overseeing the successful onboarding and initial growth of the deals you secure. You will thrive in this role if you are passionate about delivering excellence at every stage of the sales process.

This is a remote role that is based out of San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with clients and represent the company at industry events, requiring moderate travel to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Manage a pipeline of sales opportunities from initial interest through the first 12 months of technology use
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of our target market, understanding the challenges faced by law firms and legal professionals that our software can solve
  • Work both marketing-qualified leads and self-sourced opportunities through research and outreach
  • Use consultative sales techniques to identify process inefficiencies and offer impactful solutions
  • Sell remotely using tools like Salesforce, Dialpad, and Zoom
  • Oversee the onboarding process, including account setup, training, and helping new clients place their first orders
  • Meet targets and quotas by understanding and performing against critical metrics
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager, Marketing, and Customer Success to develop strategies for rapid adoption and usage
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge of our products, customers, and effective sales tactics
  • Contribute to team and company success
  • Perform additional duties as required or assigned within the scope of the role

Requirements

  • 2+ years as a B2B Account Executive or similar, selling software to professional services buyers
  • Experience in prospecting and hunting for new business
  • Prior legal sales experience required; legal technology sales preferred
  • Consistent record of over-achievement versus targets and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
  • Good understanding of consultative sales and building trust-based relationships
  • Confident communicator and skilled presenter, with experience delivering live product demonstrations via video conferencing
  • Technically adept with experience in web technologies and selling SaaS solutions
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (ideally Salesforce) to track and manage work

Compensation

The anticipated starting base pay range for this role is listed below. Base salary is not the only component of our competitive total rewards package - you may also be eligible for bonus, commissions, equity, and other benefits as described below. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications.

$75,000 - $81,000 base pay with uncapped commissions + ramping pay
