DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Business Analyst 2, you will analyze and evaluate information technology projects for the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) Information Technology (IT) office within the Health and Human Services (HHS) IT Delivery Center (ITDC). From developing and managing all IT systems and applications for the agency to serving as the functional expert and liaison between program area users and in-house and contracted applications development staff, you will perform the full scope of business analysis functions. Other key stakeholders you will work with include federal partners from the PA Army National Guard and PA Air National Guard. No day is the same here at DMVA, you will work on various projects and create new applications and enhancements to existing applications on a regular basis. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, 5 days out to a 10 day pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Annville.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Five years of business process analysis experience;or
  • One year as a Business Analyst 1;or
  • One year as an Information Technology Trainee; or
  • One year of business process analysis experience and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
