As a Data Analyst on our team, you'll use your communication skills and analytical expertise to create real-world impact. Your expertise with data analytics and visualization support will be vital as you develop strategies for collecting, transforming, cleaning, and modeling data with the goal of identifying meaningful trends and supporting decision-making. You will identify and collect data sources, analyze and extract key information, and evaluate and monitor quality across portfolios to meet organizational objectives and requirements. You'll help develop and document multi-year plans necessary to mitigate or resolve modeling and simulation capability gaps in support of functional community user requirements. You will assist in the development of scenarios that enable modeling and simulation stakeholders to more rapidly develop and reuse simulations. You'll work closely with clients to understand the requirements behind every effort, and then dig into their data and documentation to help find the pieces of their information puzzle. You will run analytical tools, clean and transform data, conduct research, draft, review, and edit analytical reports, and effectively communicate results to the client in support of their decisions. You'll guide teammates and help use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to advise your clients as they make informed decisions. You Have: 5+ years of experience with data analysis, data science, or data analytics in a dynamic environment 3+ years of experience communicating and presenting analyses to all levels of leadership, both in written and verbal forms Experience with data analytics and visualization to recognize complex data to support decision-making Experience using data methodologies to generate cross-functional solutions through collection, interpretation, evaluation, and analysis of large data sets Knowledge of good data principles, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and wrangling Ability to clearly convey complex data insights and technical findings into easily recognized narratives, including in graphical, verbal, and written forms Ability to maintain accuracy while dealing with large data sets with a high attention to detail and quality TS/SCI clearance Bachelor's degree Nice If You Have: Experience as an Operations Research or Systems Analyst Experience with modeling and simulation at a Headquarters, the Department of the Army, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or Service Component Command Experience developing and evaluating metrics and data trends across a program lifecycle Experience with a scripting language such as SQL, R, or Python, to extract data and perform analytics and visualizations Experience analyzing capabilities gaps or data sets associated with modeling and simulation, global demand, force projection, prepositioned stocks, or strategic and operational support plans Experience authoring clear, concise, and accurate documents and briefings Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently with minimal guidance Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills Master's degree Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
