What you'll be doing:
  • As an ASIC Analog SERDES Designer, you'll take on exciting design challenges with high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits within ASIC designs. Collaborating closely with customers and cross-functional SERDES design engineers, you'll create designs that meet strict power, area, and performance requirements. With your skills in system-level and block-level IC design activities, including architecture definition, circuit design, schematic capture, and circuit and sub-system simulation, you'll work with cutting-edge advanced CMOS technologies, such as FinFet technology and standard, commercial IC design CAD tools to bring your designs to life.
  • In this role, you'll apply your expertise in high-speed design techniques and low power to circuit design, document analog designs blocks and collaborate with Characterization and Product engineers to define and conduct tests, analyze measurement data, and assist in the validation of circuit design through lab skills. Mentoring junior engineers, you'll share your knowledge and experience.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering plus 6 years of relevant experience or Ph.D. in related field.
  • Familiarity with SERDES system-level operation and modelling
  • Demonstrable experience in high-speed equalization techniques
  • Practical knowledge of high-speed board and package requirements to support SERDES
  • Experience with planning of high-speed layouts using FINFET technologies.


Additional Information:
  • This position requires a US government security clearance, and as such, US citizenship is required.
  • The work environment for this role typically involves office-based activities with collaboration with analog design, CAD, and physical verification teams. Occasional travel may be required for project meetings or customer engagements.
