Job Summary:•We are seeking a Plumber / Pipefitter for our client site in Bothell, WA. The successful candidate will have outstanding skills and will be committed to working with others to deliver best in class, unparalleled excellence in customer service and satisfaction.•The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, 3:30 pm - 12:00am, however, various hours may be required based on business demand.As a Plumber Pipefitter, you will be responsible for daily support activities, including: Providing advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventative and predictive maintenance on the industrial or commercial related to general facilities and utilities systems equipment to include but not limited to plumbing, mechanical equipment, motors, pumps, piping, drains, and other equipment as directed.•Respond to work orders associated with building equipment.•Inspects major equipment and/or operating systems and takes corrective actions as necessary.•Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout requirements.•Operate hand tools including grinders, saws, impact wrenches, standard wrenches, drills, and similar instruments.•Operate welding and metal working machinery necessary to the repair and maintenance of all pipelines, pumping stations and water treatment equipment.•Ensures all appropriate mechanical operations, standards, controls, and specifications, are maintained at a high level of quality. Systems/Equipment to include pumps, fans, cranes, heat exchangers, valves, etc.•Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes, studies building plans and working drawings to determine work aids as required, and sequence of installations.•Assembles and installs valves, pipefittings and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass, and lead and nonmetals such as glass, vitrified clay, and plastic.•Joins pipe by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints, fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking, installs and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers and water softeners.•Repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains, and may weld holding fixtures to steel structural members.•Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs industrial facility mechanical systems, facility equipment and systems, pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems.•Performs preventive and predictive maintenance inspections and actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc.•Troubleshoots and repairs blowers and fans, heat exchange equipment and basic electrical issues.•Performs pipefitting repairs.•Works within the context of a team and at times with minimal supervision•Ensures excellent customer service and safe work environment.•Complies with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) As the Plummer/Pipefitter you will be expected to:•Work in a team environment with a one team mentality; be friendly, respectful, empathetic, and professional to teammates and clients.•Value and respect employee authenticity and demonstrate cultural awareness to create a memorable experience and a respectful workplace.•Balance workload and multiple tasks while focusing on attention to detail and prioritizing assignments.•Take initiative to resolve issues that arise and solve problems independently; shift priorities as needed or requested by management and remain flexible•Other duties as assigned by management Communication•Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint•Ability to communicate clearly via phone•Ability to work closely with customer during site emergencies.•Excellent oral and written communications•Excellent interpersonal skills, i.e., listening to customer needs, articulating path forward and giving solutions that provide value to the customer, etc.•Accurately document electronic and paper cataloging system to provide information to customer or regulatory personnel.•Strive for quick complaint resolution; to resolve problems on the first call and avoid escalation of issues through operational knowledge.Minimum Requirements:Minimum Requirements State of Washington Plumbing Contractors License 5 years' experience in the field of mechanical maintenance and plumbing In addition to education/experience, 3 years of progressive career experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, biomedical, or research & development facility maintenance. Must have hands-on experience in the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical building systems. Systems experience should include areas such as: plumbing, steam and hot water boilers, air handling units, pumps, compressors, air dryers, and exhaust systems. Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for several types of respirators. Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location. Ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line. Ability to obtain an appropriate driver`s license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location. This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. Some physical/special requirements include: Regularly lift to 50 lbs Regularly climb ladders, steps, and scaffolding Repetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement. Walk extensively throughout the plant during shift Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment.Preferred Qualifications:Preferred Requirements Technical degree preferred. Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses. Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams. Experience working with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus. Experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
