Controls Engineer, HVAC

We are looking for a Controls Engineer with experience in building control systems or equivalent HVAC knowledge and with expert knowledge of HVAC and product and systems equipment and specs and building automation industry experience.Job DescriptionDesignHVAC temp control systemsLighting and access control systemsResponsible for projects, start to finish, submittal drawings, 30% 90% and closeoutResponsible for independently designing complex projectsFocus on design to add or improve energy conservationControls for HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handling units, heat recovery and terminal unitsBAS system design for HVAC, Lighting and Access control systems using the Delta Controls Analysis and EstimationPrepare cost estimates for control systems for commercial, industrial and institutional HVAC systemsDesign/build budgetingEnergy utilization conservation calculationsManage labor budgetComplete re-estimation, RFI, and change ordersCommunicationWork with customers to collect the key information needed to ensure the finished design meets their needs, as well as helping them understand options and benefits from the finished systemsLearn from coworkers to increase knowledge of technical and design information and participate in training other departments on pertinent mattersCollaborate with account managers on construction estimates and proposal writingRegularly update your manager of progress, concerns, and encumbrances, Training and DevelopmentStudy and use our robust internal resources including training materials, previously created designs, specific training classes and modules, and vendor training classes and materials Gain or maintain expert knowledge of our Delta product line and equipment including BACnet protocols and associated controls devicesCollaborate with expert coworkers and managers on increasingly complex and challenging projectsQualificationsMust-Have Experience in building control systems and/or equivalent HVAC knowledgeExpert knowledge of HVAC and product and systems equipment and specsBuilding automation industry experience Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Life Insurance - Employer PaidHealthcare and dependent care FSA programs 3 weeks PTO per year401k Plan with employer match
