Matura Farrington is seeking an experienced Paralegal for a prominent firm in West Los Angeles specializing in a range of litigation matters. The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of litigation, from pre-trial through post-trial. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of litigation processes and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in case preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorneys.
  • Manage case files, ensuring all documents are organized and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate and prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials, including creating trial binders and exhibits.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and coordinate schedules.
  • Monitor and manage deadlines for filings, discovery responses, and court appearances.
  • Review and analyze discovery documents, including electronic discovery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of court rules and procedures, as well as legal terminology and concepts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm setting.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules in California.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation: Up to $95k annually depending on experience.
