Uses querying languages like SQL, scripting languages like R or Python, and other tools like Tableau or Excel to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Combines these reports with subject-matter expertise to deliver coherent, insightful takeaways and advice. Collaborates with project stakeholders to better understand valuable objectives and KPIs and to design relevant reports and dashboards. Schedule : 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm | Location : Hospitality Lane Administrative Offices, San Bernardino, CA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DELIVERABLES Design, build, enhance, and maintain Tableau reports and dashboards tailored to outpatient clinic operations, incorporating patient scheduling, appointment tracking, and resource utilization metrics. Provide data extract from electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant sources specific to outpatient clinic workflows and data requirements. Develop SQL scripts and stored procedures to populate analytics datasets and data lake, focusing on outpatient clinic performance metrics and operational efficiency. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrators to understand outpatient clinic workflows and data requirements, ensuring business intelligence solutions align with clinic objectives. Analyze outpatient clinic data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement, patient care optimization, and cost reduction. Respond to users' inquiries concerning business intelligence requests for outpatient clinic operations, recommending, or performing actions to correct issues and problems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, administrators, and IT professionals, to support data-driven decision-making in outpatient clinic operations. Provide training and support to outpatient clinic staff on using business intelligence tools and interpreting analytics insights to improve patient care delivery and operational efficiency. Participate in meetings and presentations with outpatient clinic stakeholders to communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates related to business intelligence initiatives. Contribute to technical knowledge of the team through documentation and knowledge transfer, focusing on outpatient clinic data management and analytics best practices. Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests from outpatient clinic stakeholders, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to evolving business needs. Continuously evaluate and optimize business intelligence solutions and processes for outpatient clinic operations to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives. Travel to other SAC Health locations as necessary; must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and auto insurance. Other duties as listed in the official job description. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or related field preferred. Licensure/Certification: Valid CA Driver's License, and auto insurance. Experience: 7 years of experience required as a Business Intelligence Developer while incorporating relevant skills and achievements in healthcare analytics, specifically in the outpatient setting. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Possesses a strong command of SQL scripting and stored procedures, essential for efficient data manipulation and analysis. Advanced proficiency in business intelligence tools like Tableau enables the design and implementation of insightful reports and dashboards tailored to healthcare analytics, particularly in outpatient settings. Their adeptness in data modeling and analytics methodologies, coupled with effective communication skills, facilitates seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams. Moreover, their meticulous attention to detail ensures data accuracy and integrity throughout the analysis and reporting processes. Interpersonal Skills: Proficiency in SQL scripting and stored procedures, alongside advanced skills in business intelligence tools like Tableau. They possess a strong grasp of data modeling and analytics methodologies specific to healthcare settings, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Work is highly independent, and they may assume a team lead role for the work group, serving as a specialist on complex technical and business matters.
