Linux Systems Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Linux Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers and related software. This role involves routine system monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and collaboration with Oracle Database Administrators. The Linux Administrator will play a crucial role in implementing software upgrades, patches, and automation processes, ensuring system reliability and compliance with US Government standards. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers and related software. Perform routine system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and performance. Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes on servers. Work with Oracle Database Administrators to maintain, optimize, and expand the Oracle environment. Provide end user support, such as user management, script review, and training. Help automate server maintenance, including running scripts and automated processes. Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments. Maintain systems and services across all environments to comply with US Government standards. Create and maintain system, service, and procedure documentation. Document all Incidents, Outages, and Changes within Service Now.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Extensive understanding of Linux, including RedHat and Suse. Experience with VMWare EXSi / VSphere. Knowledge of Oracle software products (RAC, OEM, APEX, etc). Linux automation via Ansible. Public Trust/ Sensitive clearance.
