Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, individualized, and safe patient care. This role requires the ability to work within a clinical environment managed by Nurse Managers and other leaders, supported by a shared governance model. The nursing practice is guided by a professional practice model, evidence-based practice, and research. Competencies are derived from these models and supported by organizational values.Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:- Exemplary Practice and Outcomes: Executes nursing processes like assessment, diagnosis, and planning, employing evidence-based practices to ensure individualized care. Participates in performance improvement, research utilization, and shared governance activities.- Professional Development and Initiative: Engages in ongoing professional competency assessments and education while serving as a preceptor or mentor to foster a qualified nursing workforce and a healthy work environment.- Evidence-Based Practice and Research: Supports evidence-based practices, nursing research, and performance improvement, adhering to all organizational policies and standards, including safety and accreditation requirements.- Resources and Support: Plans patient care proactively across the continuum and participates in protocol development in collaboration with healthcare team members for optimal outcomes.Additional responsibilities include compliance with all organizational policies, standards of work, and the code of conduct, as well as performing other duties as assigned.
