ComResource is looking for a Business Analyst (IT).

We are seeking a motivated and creative Business Analyst (BA) to join our dynamic team. The BA will work as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams on medium to large-scale IT projects. The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring business needs are met through effective technology solutions. You will work closely with both business and technical teams to ensure alignment and drive the successful execution of IT projects.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Business Relationship Managers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to define business problems, objectives, and project scope.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new products and cross-platform features.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements for development teams.
• Assist in defining product concepts and technical solution designs.
• Evaluate technology solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.
• Develop business cases, including cost/benefit analysis, risks, and impact assessments.
• Contribute to the creation of roadmaps, release plans, and project schedules.
• Support the development and testing of user acceptance criteria and quality assurance tests.
• Work closely with stakeholders to manage scope, requirements, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.

Essentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT Business Analyst role or similar capacity on medium to large-scale software development projects.
• Solid experience with business analysis planning, requirements gathering, and solution evaluation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, and Visio. TFS experience preferred.
• Strong facilitation, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization (both written and verbal).
• Experience working with Agile (Scrum, Lean, or Safe) and Waterfall methodologies.

Desired:

• CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification is preferred.
• Experience in defining and maturing business capability roadmaps.
• Familiarity with InfoSec controls and IT governance practices.
• Knowledge of Lean, Scrum, and XP methodologies, and Agile culture.
